About Me

My name is Karl Jim, I am of the One-Who-Walks-Around Clan (Honágháahnii), born for the Sleeping Rock People (Tsé Nahabiłnii).  The Towering House People (Kinyaa’áanii) are my maternal grandfather’s clan and the Bitter Water Clan (Todich’ii’nii) are my grandfather’s clan.  Originally, from Crownpoint, New Mexico.

As an artist, the stories I paint are often in the moment.  Subjects range from Navajo culture, life, history, dreams and the modern day.

Industry Expert, Artist and Problem Solver.

Over the past twenty years as a professional I’ve seen quite a few trends come and go.  But one trend that hasn’t left is quality work.

I’ve worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from designing a logo to working side by side with architects and executives.

Testimonial

“Our journey working together began in 2003. Karl Jim was a talented graphic artist and I was starting up a new non-profit and needed an image created that amplified our mission. I have an eye for talent (and good character) and it was obvious early Karl Jim would become very successful. He is truly a joy to work with and his ability to capture and create our non-profits’ mission has continued to be part of our great success.

His artwork on our annual commemorative event poster decorate all the walls of our office and also thousands of bedroom walls of the Native youth we serve. He continues to be part of the success of the NABI Foundation (18 years going strong) and he is always just a phone call away to continue to support NABI and the youth we serve.”
