About Me
My name is Karl Jim, I am of the One-Who-Walks-Around Clan (Honágháahnii), born for the Sleeping Rock People (Tsé Nahabiłnii). The Towering House People (Kinyaa’áanii) are my maternal grandfather’s clan and the Bitter Water Clan (Todich’ii’nii) are my grandfather’s clan. Originally, from Crownpoint, New Mexico.
Currently furloughed, I work for the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise as the Director of Brand Management and have been with Navajo Gaming for almost 11 years.
As an artist, the stories I paint are often in the moment. Subjects range from Navajo culture, life, history, dreams and the today. Lately, I have been enjoying the entire “process” of art.
